Mom and Dad Here From Indiana

Mom and Dad were here for a week visit to see their grandchildren...and us. They took Logan all over the county and he loved it! Here are some pictures!

Logan trying a pickle at the Daiquiri Deck.

Not quite sure about it.

But he went it for another bite.

And another.

We were loving the look on his face.

He ended up really liking it.

Grandpa Dan giving Logie some kisses.

Logan got a ride on Siesta Beach too.

One morning we went out for breakfast at the Broken Egg.

Logan enjoyed his snack before breakfast.

Jared just finished his Salty Dog.

This view of the water is right by the Salty Dog.

Logan got some swing time at the park near the restaurant.

And Jared got some alone time.

There was a sailing competition at the park.

Logan's new thing is going down the slide. Jared took him down this big slide.

Logan going down by himself.

He loved the park. We had a really good time with them here!

Jared's FLOCS Competition

Jared recently had his annual FLOCS (Florida League of Christian Schools...I think) competition where they compete against other Christian schools in many, many categories. On Friday, Jared had his praise team competition. On Saturday, Jared performed in the drum line for Tabernacle Christian School. FLOCS is held at Southeastern University, in Lakeland, which is about an hour and fifteen minutes away. Jared and Janelle went while I stayed home with Logan. Jared had a great time competing as well as hanging out with his friends! He's already talking about going back next year, even though he won't be going to that school in high school.

Jared hanging out with Joe and Jonny.

Jared performing with the Praise Team.

This might have been during his electric guitar solo, although I'm not positive. Janelle said he did a really good job although she wished his volume would have been turned up more.

The whole group performing.

On Saturday morning, they have an opening ceremony and this is some of the kids doing motions to a praise song.

At the end of a very long day, they have a VERY long awards ceremony.

Both of Jared's groups received Superior Ratings.

Some of the Tabernacle students flirting (talking) to some students from another school. Jared was very proud of himself for flirting. What a difference just a year makes! :)

After the 2 long days, they went to one of the best BBQ restaurants in Lakeland for a great dinner.

Here are some videos from the weekend:

New Haircut...Raegan and Ashlynn's B-day...and Bubbles!

Here are some pictures from the couple of days. The first few pictures are of Logan with his new haircut. I took him on Monday to get his haircut and he did a pretty good job. He "got" to sit on my lap while she cut his hair. By the end of the haircut experience, we both had blond hair everywhere. As you can tell by the pictures, he probably weighs about 5 lbs less because of how short it is! I love his new haircut! He looks so much older now. The next set of pics are from March 1st, our neighbor girls' 12th Birthday! We went over there after dinner and gave them our presents and had some yummy PB pie from Yoders...the same kind Janelle got me for my b-day! The last set of pictures are from Logan playing with bubbles. Heidi, his babysitter, was nice enough to give us some bubbles that she had bought and played with him earlier in the day and she told us how much he enjoyed them. He LOVED the bubbles!

Yes, that is gel in his hair! The stylist asked me if we could put it in his hair after she cut it.

We might have to do that more often....I think he looks very handsome. Plus, all of the girls at the hair salon just kept on gushing about how cute he was.

Logan checking out the cabinet drawers after our shower. And yes, I said OUR shower.

Definitely one of Logan's favorite things to do now....open as many doors on cabinets as he can.

I think he's looking for a snack.

The girls showing off their new earrings!! They got their ear's pierced earlier in the day!

The girl's opening their presents that Janelle made.

She made it so they can hang their earrings on the screen inside the frame.

Pretty cool, huh?

This is Raegan and Ashlynn trying to look happy, even though they have no idea what the amplifier and cords are for.

We sent Jared over to our place to grab something...

We got a guitar for them! (Janelle got it from a co-worker whose daughter had no use for it any longer!)

The girls loved it!

And then it was Peanut Butter Pie time!

Raegan couldn't wait for her fork.

Here are the pictures from Janelle blowing bubbles for Logan.

Mommy showing Logan how to blow them.

He wasn't really sure about blowing them...I was more worried he would try to eat the wand.

I love how you can see all of his teeth in this picture. Notice the molar on the left side of his mouth.

It was so cute to see him trying to grab them.
