St. Augustine Weekend Trip Part Tres
So here is our third day of our trip to St. Augustine. For Jared's enjoyment, we went to the Golf Hall of Fame which was about 20 minutes away from where we stayed. We all had a lot of fun as it was very interesting. Enjoy the pics.

All in all, we had a really great trip! Even though we left a day later than expected, it worked out for the best. Jared did end up not feeling well the first day, but the 3rd day was better for him...the golf definitely helped! By the way, he just found out today that he made Tabernacle's golf team! He had his second tryout Monday night and he did really well! He's VERY excited as he has been practicing as much as possible and as much as my wallet will let him!
Logan beating up his brother on the hotel bed on our last day in the hotel room.
Jared standing in front of the World Golf Hall of Fame, which just so happened to be in St. Augustine, FL!! Jared was so excited when he found out about this part of the trip!
View of the Hall of Fame from across the lake.
The flagpoles with the different country's flags each have a plaque with their respective country-men who are in the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Us going into the entrance of the Hall of Fame....notice the big golf club Jared is holding. It's almost as big as his monster Nike driver that he has!
One of the life-like real putting surfaces in the Hall of Fame, complete with crowd noise whenever Jared sank a put.
Jared having a seat at Jack Nicklaus' Drugstore.
Jared was able to try 2 holes of golf in this golf simulator.
For this putting green, Jared got to use an old putter and ball.
Here was the putter he used....he said he actually liked the feel of the old putter.
Jared getting his picture taken in front of the 17th hole at St. Andrews in Scotland, a VERY famous hold in golf.
Logan wanting to check the 17th hole out too!!
This was Jared in front of this quotation that was said by Bob Hope. They had a HUGE shrine to him because of all that he did for the sport and making it popular. Did you know he was from England?
Old putter and ball.
Logan was more interested in getting outside to eat some lunch.
This was the view from across the lake to the challenge hole that Jared tried.
He had 5 balls to try and get it on the green from 135 yards. This is an exact replica of a very famous hole (and Jared's favorite), the 17th hold at TPC Sawgrass here in Florida.
His second shot....where will it land? Water or land??
If you can see the white box I put on the pic and then look closely for the arrows, that is where Jared's 2nd ball landed! Congrats! If he would have just made it in the hole, he would have won free admission to the Bob Hope Classic Golf Tournament.

St. Augustine Weekend Trip Part 2
So here are the pictures from our 2nd day of our adventure to St. Augustine. On the 2nd day, we went on our Trolley Tour to the Old Jail which was actually in use until 1956 and was very neat to see. We went and walked down the main street in St. Augustine where there were shops in OLD buildings (built in 1500's). Eventually later in the day we went out for an early dinner and then went to the beach and got some great pictures! Enjoy!

Thankfully Logan slept much better the 2nd night we were there. I think he went to bed around normal time and slept until 7:30 in the morning. We were very thankful he wasn't up until 11pm!
Jared holding Logan before we head out for our big day!
Jared in jail. This is where they kept the BAD people. They would put them in the bird cage and tie it up in the tree and just leave them there!
Jared looks like a pretty sweet bad guy, doesn't he?
Me just hanging with the Sheriff.
And Jared hanging with the guns. These were guns used in actual crimes that were confiscated.
Prison cell.
Freaky man in prison cell.
The jail gallows where men were actually hung.
Group picture in the jail cell.
This was Janelle feeding Logan outside of the jail when Logan decided the tour was over.
Jail kitchen. This kitchen fed the inmates as well as the Sheriff and his family who lived in the family quarters at the jail. The kids/family used the same stairway that the inmates used when they came from outside to get to their individual living spaces.
Jared holding Logan after the jail. Logan was getting pretty tired of all of the sightseeing.
And here is Logan taking a little nap while Jared and Janelle were in the "weapons" shop.
Group pic taken by a stranger right after Logan woke up. Right behind the lady taking the picture was our trolley waiting for us.
Picture taken at the beach after dinner. Jared trying to tell Logan where to look.
Logan really didn't enjoy looking into the sun.
Cute pic!
Jared jumping on the rocks.
This was one of the 100 or so pictures that Janelle took of Jared jumping on the across this log and sea wall. She was using our multi-pic function to get this cool pic of him in the air.
We were trying to keep Logan warm with his blanket as it was a little chilly as the sun was going down.
Logan kept grabbing my sunglasses so I put them on him!
My "attempt" at being artsy. By the way, we were taking these pictures right next to the hotel that Jared and I stayed at for his field trip last year with his school.
Apparently, Logan likes to do this at bath time now.
Funny picture!
Thankfully Logan slept much better the 2nd night we were there. I think he went to bed around normal time and slept until 7:30 in the morning. We were very thankful he wasn't up until 11pm!
p.s. Sorry about the underlines....not quite sure why the blog is doing that.

Weekend Trip to St. Augustine!
So here are some of the pictures from our trip to St. Augustine, FL. Saint Augustine is the oldest established city in the U.S. Jared and I went there last year on his field trip, but we figured this was a good place to take the family for our first EVER family vacation. Yes, we have gone with Logan to Indiana and Minnesota, but it's not quite the same when you don't have 10 extra people at all times ready and willing to hold Logan. It was quite the experience as we had a lot of fun, but it was also pretty tiring. Here are the pictures from our first day!!

Logan enjoying the ride so far.
Jared chillin...
Jared and Logie sharing a backseat moment together. Jared did very well sharing his backseat with Logan. Always before on road trips, Jared got the whole backseat to himself!
Jared giving his brother a kiss.
Us getting ready to go visit Castillo de San Marcos. Awesome place! http://www.nps.gov/casa/index.htm
The view from the one side of the Fort.
Cannon!
The entrance through the drawbridge.
The French Soldiers getting ready in the courtyard to fire off the cannon.
The soldiers made their way up to the top of the wall to fire the cannon. Jared and Janelle were up there to see the demonstration. Logan and I were outside of the fort trying to keep him from crying. At this point, we figured Logan wouldn't enjoy the big boom!
This is what Logan was doing outside with me! He just wanted to crawl everywhere. Apparently, he didn't enjoy being cooped up in the car for 4 hours that day as well as being held in the stroller right after we made it to St. Augustine.
View of the lighthouse across the river.
Logan was very happy to finally check into our room around 4:30 so that he could do some crawling.
He was also trying to figure out the TV remote.
Did I say Logan was happy to get out of the car??
He couldn't figure out what to check out next.
For dinner, we found this restaurant called Crackers BBQ.
It was a really cool place...it had a bunch of pictures of hunters/fisherman with their prized possessions. It also had some interesting animal skins on the walls.
I think Logan was trying to tell us he was hungry.
Logan is always good at restaurants until we get OUR food!
This was before I ate my 12 oz ribeye steak.
And after dinner, we attempted to put Logan to bed.
